Clover Club pictures
Hey all …
Some photos from the Friday night gathering at the Clover Club.

Dan Francis, Cathy Frazier and Shelly Gaietto discuss life after graduation while Rick Recker looks on.

Ron Shook’s wife explains that his former classmates aren’tall that kooky afterall.

Hey, who’s that? It’s Pat Schall (Calvert student turned Columbian grad) with Deana Heminger, Shelly G. and Aaron Smith.

Amy Clouse and Steve Hoffman smile for the camera. A little gossip about Huffs: He’s become a jabberbox.

The ringleaders of the Class of ‘86: Nick and Aaron. Together they went on to run the city of Tiffin. I guess we knew it would happen all along.

Shelly Englehart hangs with Brian Roth.
OK … that’s all the pics I’m going to push to the blog tonight. I’m tired and I want to go to bed. I’ll get more up in the next day or two.

Reunion pics
Hey all …
Cass has sent a few pics to share from the reunion.

Cass Suwinski, Brad Funkhouser, Jenny (or Julie) Wagner,
Julie (or Jenny) Wagner and Laura Reis pose.

Shelly Gaietto, Brad Funkhouser and Cass check out
grade school pictures.

The group poses for a, well, group picture.

Remember this: We bought this rug as our going-away
present to Calvert High — something for the kids to wipe
their shoes on.

Andy Collet and Amy Clouse create the banner that will
remind us in five years who showed up and who didn’t.
OK … that’s all the pics I’m posting for now. I’ll try to get more.

What a weekend!!!
Hey all …
I think everyone who attended the reunion will agree: What a great time.
Brad and Cass, you guys did a wonderful job organizing the reunion … and Brad, you went above and beyond the call of duty.
Deana, your party last night was great … Thanks for inviting us into your beautiful home.
Nick … Sorry I wasn’t able to make it to your home today. I’m sure you guys had a wonderful time …If you got any pictures, make sure to share a few of them.
Speaking of which … when I get some time, I’ll be sure to sift through mine from the weekend and post ‘em to the blog. Cass, I know you and your wife got some pics … Please, share ‘em. If you’d like, shoot me an e-mail with them attached.
As for the rest of you … I had a truly wonderful time seeing you and catching up. I don’t know about the rest of you, I had so many memories knockin’ around this weekend. It was really, really cool.
Bally, Pablo, Pol, Zack … you were the topic of many conversations. (All good, of course.) Sorry you couldn’t be there, but we made the best of your absences.
I plan to keep this blog — or some variation of it — alive for the foreseeable future. I’ll also work on my e-mail list. I have about 25 names and addresses, and I’ll try to get e-mail addresses for the rest you.
Meantime … Again, it was a really special weekend. I’m happy to have seen so many of you.

Breaking news!!!
I just got an e-mail from one Steve Hoffman … He’s planning to attend Friday night festivities at the Clover Club, though he won’t be able to make the reunion Saturday.
He said that Dave Kennedy, originally booked for a trip to Iraq, will attend Friday, as well. This is news to me.
Dave … please confirm this rumor. Hope you are, indeed, going to be present. If so, put a cold one on my tab.

A post from …
Scott Whitmer …
Stacks,
No never made it on tour with Van Halen, however there was that thing with Bananarama but thats another story. Any ways alive and well in McComb Ohio. Carpenter by trade, parents still live in Tiffin. So does my son Cody who is fifteen and attending Columbian. Was married for twelve years to a gal that graduated from Hopewell. Have a great girlfriend (Heather) whom I’ve been with for three years now. As luck would have it, I will be attending the reunion after all. Doug’s wife will not be able to attend, so I will be her fill in. See everyone there. Scott Whitmer

Cocktail hour
Brad sent news …
Dinner on Saturday will be a buffet with Chicken and Beef, and there will be a veggie tray for the cocktail hour.
The bad news, however, to keep the cost down we’re having a cash bar.
“So bring drinking cash,” says Mr. Funkhouser.

Golf outing…
Aaron/Nick …
how’s the golf outing shaping up? Will you be able to get some pictures? If possible, do so. I’ll try to put together a collection for viewing later on the web site.
thanks …

CHS visit
Hey all …
I talked with Tony Mass. He’s already to see us at Calvert at 1 p.m. Saturday. Unfortunately, he says all the locker combinations have been changed … That means I won’t be able to access the secret comparment where I kept my high school stash, I suppose.
Oh well … the beer’s probably gone bad by now.
Let’s meet out in front on Saturday … I’m bringing the digital camera, so I’ll try to get some pics to use later.

Auction items
A couple of auction items from Amy and Rick Recker: The first, an “Inspirations” rosary designed in various blue glass beads. Says Amy, it “would make a unique and meaningful gift for Christmas, First Communion, Confirmation, or birthday….or use for yourself!” It’s handmade by artist Amy Recker.

Also handmade by Amy, an “Inspirations Designer Decades” bracelet (original rosary bracelet, featuring capri-blue swarovski beads, crystal rondelles, and a sterling silver clasp), about 7 inches.

Very nice … I feel like an auctioneer at Sotheby’s. Thanks Amy …
