What a weekend!!!

Posted in The reunion at 7:59 pm by stacks1986

Hey all …

I think everyone who attended the reunion will agree: What a great time.

Brad and Cass, you guys did a wonderful job organizing the reunion … and Brad, you went above and beyond the call of duty.

Deana, your party last night was great … Thanks for inviting us into your beautiful home.
Nick … Sorry I wasn’t able to make it to your home today. I’m sure you guys had a wonderful time …If you got any pictures, make sure to share a few of them.

Speaking of which … when I get some time, I’ll be sure to sift through mine from the weekend and post ‘em to the blog. Cass, I know you and your wife got some pics … Please, share ‘em. If you’d like, shoot me an e-mail with them attached.

As for the rest of you … I had a truly wonderful time seeing you and catching up. I don’t know about the rest of you, I had so many memories knockin’ around this weekend. It was really, really cool.

Bally, Pablo, Pol, Zack … you were the topic of many conversations. (All good, of course.) Sorry you couldn’t be there, but we made the best of your absences.

I plan to keep this blog — or some variation of it — alive for the foreseeable future. I’ll also work on my e-mail list. I have about 25 names and addresses, and I’ll try to get e-mail addresses for the rest you.

Meantime … Again, it was a really special weekend. I’m happy to have seen so many of you.

~ Jeff

    Hey Everyone!

WOW! What a great weekend. It was so nice to see all of you again and share old times. I havent laughed so hard in years! My wife who really dont know most you, had the time of her life. She laughed so hard her stomach hurt on Sunday and mine too! Too bad we dont do this sooner than 5 years.

I would like to specially thank Brad for all his help in arranging this reunion. Without his help I dont know if the reunion would have come out so great. I would also like to thank Deanna and Nick for opening up there beautiful homes for all of us to share our time together! That was really special for all of us to spend that time.

Jeff thanks for the blog! What a great way to communicate with each other. Are you going to set up a webpage? If you are I may be able to help you there. I will send you the pictures that I have within the next couple of days. If anyone is visiting in Columbus and would like to get together, me and my wife would love to get together with you. If you need a place to stay we have 2 extra bedrooms and a bonus room for your accomidations.

Well I was sorry and sad to have to leave on Sunday for you guys are truely my family! The weekend went by so fast and I wanted to laugh and share more stories! Next year we are going to have a OSU tailgate party in the fall at my house! Your all invited! I hope you can make it! Ill keep you posted on the actual date for its still a year away.

For all our classmates that couldnt make it, Im sorry you missed it! Brad, we need to work on Kuhnny, Ruehle, Pol, Paul, Zack, Bally and someothers. If we call them weekly for the next 5 years maybe they’ll show! Then again maybe not. O well, take care all, God Bless you and your families! You’ll all be in my thoughts and prays. Till next time.

    Always Your Friend,

    Cass

    Hello All,
We sure enjoyed this past weekend, we haven’t stayed out till 2-some a.m. for ages!!! It was so nice to see so many of you, we counted over 30 classmates between the various functions…we hope to see even more of you next time! Special thanks to Brad and Cass for all of your time and efforts to pull this off with such success; we all appreciate it! Cass, the cheesecake was fantastic, thanks for adding that to our meal…and if you ever want to share the recipe with your Birthday Friend, feel free –it’d be a great gift that I’d promise to never ever share!!! and hellos to your lovely wife and baby too!) Another thanks to Deana & Jerry for having the party after dinner till late, and to Nick & Shayna for the family picnic—the kids had a great time too! Jeff Stacklin this web-blog was a super idea, thanks for all your time and efforts as well….I think it helped communications and reunion plans come along. And to everyone else, thanks for coming — it was certainly a pleasure to see you again! Till next time, Happy Trails…
    Take care all!
    God’s peace, love, and joy,
    Amy..& Ricky too!

We can’t say it enough can we, it was a great weekend. Nick and I have been talking about it since Monday. I haven’t truly laughed like that in a long time! And we seemed to pick up where we left off 5 years ago. Brad, Cass and Jeff, if our reunion is going to be like that every five years, you can do all of them. You did a great job! We will need to plan a party next year, just to get together, for anyone that can come. Please send me your email addresses so we can keep in touch, I don’t want to loose track of any of you. Take care and keep in touch.

Well I feel kinda stupid. I just figured out how this blog thingy works. I’ve been keepin an eye on it the past few months wondering why no one was posting anything. Today I discovered the comments section. My husband says I’m very challanged when it comes to computer stuff and he is 100% right on that. Sounds like everyone had a great time at the reunion. Sorry I missed it. I don’t make it to Tiffin much at all. My folks are still trying to sell the house in Orrville, so I stay in a holding pattern. Once they sell it I’ll be springing into action to get them moved down here closer to me. I can’t wait.
If anyone is in the Nashville area, feel free to give me a ring. I’d love to hear from you all up North.

    what up everyone?!?

just wanted to say “cudos and thanks” to all the above mentioned reunion planners and builders.

i also wanted to wish a sincere and heartfelt thanks to each person i saw and spoke with, you have no idea how much i needed the dose of laughter i received last weekend :>) with as unpredictable, and at times complicated as my life has been lately, i was not even planning on going (thank God my wife, Chris thought there was a possibility we might make it, and had me rsvp… and sent the check) as has been the status quo lately, things went almost like we planned and you saw me minus my two amazing girls and truly “my better -half”

i’m not sure if it was the laughter, comradery, or reminicing, but Mon. i felt better than i’ve felt in months. thank you all again!

a final thanks to Ski who let me crash at his place. oh yeah, and Jen and Julie Wagner for the reference to the Boomtown Rats “I don’t like Mondays”, in the 20 or so mins. it took me to fall asleep Sat. night, that song ran through my head 2-3 times. i thought i was going to obsess on it all night but then started playing the rest of “The Fine Art of Surfacing” in my head and it was like Bob Geldolf was singing me lullabies, GOODNIGHT!

I, for one, am so glad you came, and very happy that you were able to enjoy yourself. Anytime you need a laugh or anything else, I am sure their are plenty of us that can help! It was great seeing you and please tell the rest of your family we are thinking of them often.

I have pics, but the resolution on them is too high. I’m working on it though. I might just migrate everything to a stand alone site, but I need an afternoon free of … well, commitments.
Stay tuned … Meantime, I’m still spinning and trying to play catchup from that long weekend.

Doug, too bad you couldn’t have made it on Friday night. It was good seeing everyone at the Clover Club. It was a bitch getting my car out of my neighbor’s tree on Saturday morning, but still I had a good time.

Had a wedding reception on Saturday. Was planning on going to Deana’s after-party but never made it because I’m too old to stay up that late partying two nights in a row anymore I guess.

I hope its’ not another 5 years until everyone gets together again.
