I’m back … for now
OK, OK, OK … I’m terribly sorry I haven’t been keeping up with this blog thing. Life, you know, it gets busy at times.anyhoo … Life has been pretty good here in Vermilion. Wife and kids are good. I haven’t got back to Tiffin for a bit, though I hear the court house has been all the rage in that part of the world. (I, frankly, always thought it was a pretty darn ugly building.)So, I’ve been meaning to ask and hopefully someone can weigh in on the latest with the school consolidation, as in Calvert, St. Joe and St. Mary school? Did it happen? Did it work out OK? What else is happening in Tiffin? Any news to report? Andy Collett … you still out there? You staying out of trouble? Deanna … got anything to report? Nick? Aaron?Anyway … I’ll try to check in occasionally and maybe get this thing rolling again.Jeff

Hey Jeff,
Nice to hear from you. As you can see not many of us are online anymore. Its not because we dont want to stay in touch but we are all busy like yourself. Hopefully, we can get this thing moving again. I spoke with Brian Roth the other week and not much has changed at Calvert. As far as he knew they are leaving Calvert be for now. Dont know how long that will last but for now no major changes. Hope all is well with you and the family. If your ever in Columbus give me a call!

Cass …
Thanks for the note. I’m sure I’ll be getting to Columbus sometime in the coming months, and I’ll be sure to give you call and try to hook up for lunch, dinner or cocktails.
Meantime … Life has been good, work has been interesting. I’ve been doing online video for the web site I run. Wanna see some cheesy video? Check out this link:

Jeff,
Nice video. You look good.
Here is the link to my videos on youtube. While I enjoy watching my girls dance, I love watching my son check a kid on the boards during roller hockey. I am not in any of these though. I am usually behind the camera.

Take care and stay warm!

Jeff,
Well, if all goes well, I will have my Master’s of Science in Nursing in Education this June. I have three classes to go and am currently taking two classes (7 credit hours) now so that I can get done.
I have the oldest three playing lacrosse right now. Daniel actually ends up much more bruised after lacrosse than hockey. (On a side note, he was in the top three on his hockey team for penalty minutes.) Girls lacrosse is different, they are not allowed to hit and the 4th graders are too busy trying to figure out how to play to get any good hits in. The other one is starting track. The 4 yr old is getting close to walking on his own and the baby will be 3 soon. She had a partial amputation of her thumb that we find out on Thursday if sewing it back on worked. She is in a full cast right now so we haven’t seen it yet.
Other than the weather stinks and I am so ready for spring, not much else going on here. I am glad to hear from people though. Take care and I hope we hear from others too.

Great news Jane! Things are the same here in T town. Not great weather, but when is it in Ohio. Nick is doing great also, just moved into a new house on Williamsburg. Very nice, maybe I can talk him into having alittle party before the summer is over. Other then that, nothing new to report. Does anyone know how Doug Kummer and his family are doing?

Deana –
Good to hear from you, as well. Just tell Nick we’ll be over this weekend. And, next weekend. And, the weekend after that … (LOL)
Actually, I believe the St. Joe Festival is this weekend (right?) … I haven’t had a pronto pup/corn dog from the festival in like 20 years. Maybe it’s time to return to my roots and introduce my daughters to a fine-dining experience. And, church-sponsored gambling.
Maybe I will see you there.

Got to love the fact that you can go to church, receive communion, have a beer, then lose your rent money all on the same night. Only in America! Have a corn dog for me, I can’t quite take the excitement. We need to try and plan a get together this year, we tried last year, but I just couldn’t get in together. Let me know when all of you might be around.

Wow its been a while since I have checked this site out but most everybody dropped off. Im glad to see some activity. Hope all is well with everyone and there families. Congrats to you Jane on your MS!!! I know the work that you did for my wife got her MS years ago. So is there anything new in Tiffin? I havent been back since the reunion. I would be interested in getting together for the day with the family maybe at the end of the summer of in September. Just let me know and if you need any help. I know we tried last year but everyone just got busy. My son just turned 2 and wow has time flown by! Almost seems like a blur these past 2 years. Well hope to talk to you all more and see you soon. Talk Care.
Cass
PS. Jeff have a Corn Dog for me! Havent had one of those in 20+ years. Im afraid if I have one now, it would case me to have a heart attack! LOL

Hey Cass:
thanks for the note — and checkin’ in.
Enjoy that little one. The terrible twos can be rough, but you’ll laugh at it a couple years from now.
I made it to Tiffin the past two weekends. It’s still there. And, the St. Joe Festival is every thing you would want in a church festival .. well, it would have been better had there been beer, but …
I introduced my daughters to corndogs, elephant ears, dangerous carny rides and … the fish pond.
they had a blast and had tummy aches for a week.
